May 21 - The End?

By now you've probably heard of Harold Camping or at least you are probably aware that on May 21, 2011 the rapture is going to take place - that is if you believe Harold Camping.

"And now, we have no option. We can't say 'maybe' 'it's possible' 'it looks very probable...' No way! We have to say this is what the Bible teaches! This is fact! May 21, 2011 is the day of the Rapture, it is the day that Judgment Day begins..." - Harold Camping

You may have even seen a billboard or a bumper sticker proclaiming May 21 to be the date of the rapture. Recently I was in Rosales Philippines and much to my dismay there was a very large billboard there proclaiming Camping's rapture prediction. 

So, is May 21, 2011 the date of the rapture? Just remember what Deuteronomy 19:21-22 says: "You may say to yourselves, “How can we know when a message has not been spoken by the LORD?” If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the LORD does not take place or come true, that is a message the LORD has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously, so do not be alarmed."

With that in mind here's something else Harold Camping falsly predicted: "When September 6, 1994, arrives, no one else can become saved. The end has come." - Harold Camping (1994)
