God still answers prayer!!

I am a big supporter of Bus Ministry. Nothing has helped our church more than having a bus ministry. We started our bus ministry back in September of 2005. God blessed us and we saw great numbers of kids and adults come to church because of the bus ministry. However, back in January our bus threw a rod as I was going to get fuel on a Saturday evening. When the bus broke down my heart broke with it. I loved that bus!

Until three weeks ago we did not have a bus ministry anymore. Because of lack of finances we were unable to purchase another bus right away. We began to pray that God would provide. Meanwhile our Kids Church attendance dwindled down from the 30's to under 10. On Easter Sunday when most churches were setting their attendance highs for the year, I went in my truck to pick up as many people as possible and came back to church with an empty vehicle. Needless to say I was rather discouraged...but I tried to encourage myself that God was going to supply. My wife and I both felt that God was going to give us a better bus than before - we just didn't know when, or how.

Several weeks ago God provided our answer to prayer. God provided a bus through some people not even connected to our church. They paid $3,500 for the bus and even gave us $500 dollars in fuel money!! The new bus is bigger, newer, and nicer than the old bus. Quite frankly it's nicer than the bus that I drive for the public school!

I glad we serve a God who still provides and works miracles! I would have never dreamed of having a bus as nice as the one He provided and I would have never imagined paying $3,500 for one! We only paid $855 for our other bus. All I can say is that it will all be worth it if just one of these kids makes it to Heaven!

Today was the third week we've had a bus again. Once again we had over 30 children in Kids Church and we have had several adults on the bus every week. Today I snapped a few pictures of some of kids on the bus with my camera phone.
