Today in 155

On February 23, 155 Polycarp, an early Church Father who was a disciple of the Apostle John, was martyred. He was arrested at age 86, and burned at the stake for refusing to deny the Christian faith.

So much for "Your Best Life Now!"

Occasionally I wonder if we should pray for persecution...we've become so complacent and such wimps for Christ that I often wonder how long God's going to put up with the Church in America.
