The Mark is coming...

One issue I've been harping on lately is the fact that I believe we are living in the Last Days. I don't believe that it will be too long until the Mark of the Beast is unveiled. One thing that is leading to the mark in my opinion is RFID tracking tags which are being implanted into people. If you don't believe me just do a search on "RFID tracking tags. These tags are a tiny chip that are being used as tracking devices, credit cards etc.

Now, the Chairman of the Board of VeriChip corporation (the leading manufacture of these chips), has advocated on Fox News that chips be implanted in immigrants so we can know "who is in our country and why they are here." (Click here to read this story that was reported on the Drudge Report today.) This is something that I have been afraid of for some time.

While I fully support many of the security measures that have been put in place since September 11, and while I am a big supporter of President Bush, I have felt like many of these security measures are eventually going to lead to an unpleasant future for Christians. Think about it, who is the most hated people in the world? Christians. Even in our own country increasingly Christians are being looked out in a very negative way and are hated by many - especially if you are an Evangelical Christian. There is a growing hatred for God and for Christians - especially Christians who live what they say they believe.

I believe that probably in the near future this antimosity towards Christianity is going to continue to grow. Perhaps some wackos in our government will pass a law banning certain Christian practices. Christians will refuse to stop worshipping and serving Christ as they believe the Bible teaches. There will come a crack down. Public hatred towards Christians will grow.

Sometime in the near future there will come laws about forced chip implants. Probably at first it will seem to be for very valid reasons. To prevent illegal immigration, to keep track of children's whereabouts, credit card fraud prevention, etc. Then, it will become a forced implant. This is my theory...I don't claim to know the future and I don't claim to know when Jesus is coming back. But one thing I do know is that we were given the prophecies and signs of the last days in the Scripture for a reason - so that we who are Christians would not be caught off guard and unaware. These chip implants sure explain a lot of things in the Book of Revelation. God help us to be ready and watching!

Again, I don't claim to know when Jesus is coming back and the prayer of my heart is that He will come quickly. However, the vast majority of "Christians" today have a view of the end times that I am not sure is entirely Scriptural. Most have a fire escape policy - they think that Jesus is going to come back before the tribulation begins to take place. I guess that perhaps many think this way because we're Americans. We are so comfortable in our prosperity that we don't think anything bad will happen to us. Anyways, I fear that if they are wrong in believing in a pre-trib rapture of the church, and the Anti-Christ arises and the Mark of the Beast is enforced they are going to be caught off guard because they think Jesus is going to come back before all of this takes place. So, it will easy to excuse the Mark as not really being the Mark but being a good thing.

Well, that's enough of my deep thoughts for the day. What do you think? Do you think I am totally off my rocker and paranoid? Or, do you believe like I do that this is just another sign of the soon coming return of Christ?

  1. I'm thanking and praising the Lord for your scriptural and perceptive blog! You are truly the wave of the future and can be a blessing to countless numbers of persons. Am wondering if you have read some hard-hitting articles that back up what you are saying. They are "Pretrib Rapture Diehards," "Thomas Ice (Bloopers)," and "Appendix F: Thou Shalt Not Steal" and can be found on Google and other search engines. Finding out about the short and really strange history of the pretribulation rapture can be painful - but we cannot ignore historical facts that have long been swept under the rug. Lord reward you for your faithfulness! THE OBSERVER
