I love our new schedule! Thus far it is working very well! Sunday mornings are no longer such a rush to go pick up the kids in the bus, get them back for Sunday school, break up fights during the singing, chase kids down who got the "wandering Jew disease" during S.S. and then bring them back into the main service, break up more fights, try to keep them from distracting the entire congregation...okay you get the general idea.
Now, I no longer have a huge rush on Sunday morning. The kids go straight back to Kids Church, there is no distractions in the main sanctuary, not as many people fall asleep during my sermon because of the long Sunday school and regular service, and generally all is good.
Now on Sunday evening we are only having Adult Sunday school class and currently only one kids Sunday school class. The great thing is that our Adult Sunday school class attendance has been better than ever, and my Sunday evening service has better attendance than ever.
There is a much greater sense of worship on Sunday morning and Sunday night. I think the switch will be here to stay.
