I don't do that much design work and so I've installed/uninstalled it many times. This time I was able to get by with Paint.net. However since you suggested Gimp I looked it up again and there's a newer version out since the last time I tried it so I think I might give it another shot.

Thanks for the suggestion!Jon Earlshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11143567069140769859noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17041767.post-66319662360734277522008-06-27T06:27:00.000-05:002008-06-27T06:27:00.000-05:00In reference to your last comment, if you want a p...In reference to your last comment, if you want a pretty good mimic of Photoshop you should check out www.gimp.org. Because it was developed under the GNU licensing agreement it is completely free and has a huge number of features and usability that have been standard with Photoshop for years. I've played around with it, and while I still use Photoshop, I must say that it's a pretty good program.

Just thought I'd pass it along in case you were interested....Allen Moweryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01737511581344197528noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17041767.post-62204735576838289582008-06-26T14:41:00.000-05:002008-06-26T14:41:00.000-05:00R.G.I am using Wordpress as the base of the site. ...R.G.

I am using Wordpress as the base of the site. As far as design goes I used Microsoft Expression for coding etc. and used Paint.net for image editing, manipulation etc. Basically this was a poor man's way around Photoshop and Dreamweaver.

Thanks for the compliment.

Hat tip to Jon Plank - I hope you didn't mind me ripping off your header image from the Bible Methodist website. ;-)Jon Earlshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11143567069140769859noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17041767.post-82077893278926772302008-06-26T06:20:00.000-05:002008-06-26T06:20:00.000-05:00I just wondered if you were putting on special thi...I just wondered if you were putting on special things (like we do in our bulletin) like meetings, etc. each week. That is a really good way to let people know about things coming up. Is the calendar something you plan to change week by week, or is it sort of a "generic" calendar of the "usual" church week?

Jim BushAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
