At my Church we have begun the practice of taking up snakes. Yes we are a holiness church and so we believe in being Biblical. So, we take up snakes. Especially when they are lying on the sidewalk outside of the church when the ladies are leaving. Of course screaming quickly ensued. We killed the Cottonmouth Water Moccasin and after it was dead we were then brave enough to handle it. It was actually a pretty small one - I'm wondering when I'll discover the momma. Probably when I'm trimming the hedges which is where I have discovered them in the past and nearly been bitten once and another time had one fall out on my feet...
