Chapel Singers
The other day I was going through some tapes that belonged to a member of my church who recently passed away. In the collection which contained some great preaching tapes from men like R.G. Flexon, J. Wesley Adcock, etc. I found a music tape from Penn View Bible Institute.
This is not just any old college quartet tape, but it included the best college quartet group I have ever heard.
Joel Byer, Paul Peterson, Aaron McCarty, Jon Plank, and Greg Wolfe made up the best quartet in recent Bible college history! I'll never forget them singing, "I Pledge Allegiance to the Lamb" at IHC. I'm not sure if the gasps in the audiance where because of Paul Peterson's and Aaron McCarty's singing voices or because the girls found them attractive, but whatever the case they did a tremendous job.
I hope my praise for this group doesn't go to their heads...by the way, their all still great singers ( I'm assuming Paul is), but they've all put on a little weight since this picture was taken! (I won't comment on how much weight I've gained since by school days!)
Another intresting thing about this group is that everyone but Paul Peterson has a blog! (He might but I was unable to find one) (I'll count Greg Wolfe's blog but he only updates it once every century - he's been hearing things on a bus for a really long time!)
Click on their names to go their blog.
Joel Byer
Greg Wolfe
Aaron McCarty
Jon Plank By the way, Jon is a little bit more sophisticated than most of us "normal" bloggers. You've got to sign up to view his blog. :-)
