God has one destinated end for mankind, viz., holiness. His one aim is the production of saints. God is not an eternal blessing-machine for men; He did not come to save men out of pity: He came to save men because He had created them to be holy.
This certainly doesn't sound like the message of "Your Best Life Now!" does it? The modern message equates God with being a heavenly vending machine just waiting to give free candy. May God help us to realize why He came - to make us holy as He is!
