I recently updated my churches webstite (see post below). I installed in the code for the site a stat counter from www.statcounter.com. This counter provides me with lost of interesting information. For instance: on Saturday there was 17 page loads. On Sunday there was 44, and today after our site update was officially logged at www.holiness.cc our site has so far had 133 page loads. (Thanks Jon Plank for the holiness web directory).
Now, some other interesting information that my stat counter records is just who visits the site. Now, it doesn't tell me their name, but it does share some other interesting information. I can find out just who you use for an ISP. For instance, one surfer from Greensboro NC visited the site for a whopping 1 minute 6 seconds. Their ISP is Earthlink. Their web browser was IE 6.0 and the site they visited previous to visiting mine was www.holiness.cc/churches/Bible_Methodist/Alabama_Conference/. One suggestion I would like to make is don't visit any bad site before coming to mine because I'll know about it :-)
Some interesting things I found out was that only four out of the last 100 people who visited the site used the Firefox browser which I love and use. Two of these individuals need to update Firefox because they do not have the latest version 1.5. Despite Firefox's rising popularity, currently Internet Explorer accounts for 92% of the browser's accessing www.cordelebiblemethodist.com.
The site is attracting more visitors from Ohio and North Carolina than anywhere else. I do see the Joel Byer has probably stopped by since I figure he's about the only one from Canada who would visit. (Joel is still stuck in the Stone Age due to the fact that he uses Internet Explorer 6.0 rather than Firefox). He enjoyed viewing the site with 800x600 screen resolution. I do hope you will return Joel - since apparently you are yet to do so. Unfortunately Joel is either yet to read my previous post or he is ignoring my plea for feedback about the site...
51 out of the last 100 visitors had their screen resolution set to 1024x768. Only 18 had their screen resolution set to 1280x1024.
If I know this much about you, guess how much the government knows? :-)
Who needs wire tapping when you can internet tap?
What do you mean? I didn't post that in my blog - it's not my fault!!
ReplyDeleteI believe that you Mr. Byler are guilty of racial profiling. Just because you're a Canadian you think you can accuse me of defamation of character! Unbelievable!!
Okay, I apologize if I accused you of being guilty of being stuck in the Stone Age. However, it's not my fault - I said that because my parents spanked me when I was a child!
If you can't tell I'm just a "little" bit upset about my fellow Georgian Cynthiana McKinney punching a police office - lock her up!! (I don't know what this has to do with what you wrote though... :-)
Sorry to hear about your high speed problems. Cordele is still a little behind the times as well. Earthlink is the only high speed provider I am able to get right now - at least I have them.
I had been using a free web hosting company www.741.com for the church website. I found out about www.kingsleyhosting.com from holiness.cc. They only charge $59 a year for hosting, plus they give you a free domain name. I had someone sponser a year of hosting - this way I avoided having to try to convince my church of the need.
Good to hear from you.
I've gotta go see my psychiatrist now! :-)
what are you witht the CIA?!? I don't think I'll visit your site now! Let me save you the trouble...my social Security number is..555-55-9856, my choice of toothpaste is Aquafresh! anything else you would like to know, you know where to find me, I'm sure! hahaaa..J/k keep posting, like to read your blog!
